The Pre-Challenge Disclaimer

The secret is out. The Challenge is going to cost money.

You will need a domain ($10 at godaddy and others) and a web host ($10 at bluehost and others)

And that is it. Actually at the first challenge in 2005 the cost was way higher, and the goal was still the same. There was a website, hosting, Google Adwords and then there was the cost of the product …

The 3 first were absolutely necessary, all the social networks were only in their infancy and there was no easy way to get ranked fast on Google.

The last, the product, you could do yourself, but there was very little time available, less than 3 weeks really, to get an e-book written or an mp3 recorded.

With the development of the 30 day challenge and now the Challenge I am sure there will be no need for spending extra money, however with the announcement that products and services will be offered, you could run the “risk” of spending more. You just have to say no.

Go for it and keep the budget at the $20.

Google Chrome

Now, here was something new to do, well kindoff I had already installed Google Chrome, but the plugins were new.

And it was good to see old friends :-) like SEO Quake being available on Chrome as well.

Now just to get all the bookmarks, passwords etc. transferred, and I am ready to go.

The day 2 of the Challenge was also an easy one, since I have used Twitter on more of the previous challenges and have been following ed_dale, danraine and gurubob for a long time.

Most time was spend watching the video.

Ustream

The first task on this years Challenge is to set up an Ustream account.

As this was already used in the previous Thirty Day Challenge it is an easy task…

Done!

Used a little extra time on getting the iPhone feed set up together with the PDF download.

So ready for tomorrow.

Start of the Challenge

Today is the day where the new Challenge by Ed Dale starts.

This is the 6th time that Ed and team will teach how to get started in Internet marketing, or how to improve what you have already got.

There are big expectations and we are waiting for the start shot.

I am going to log what my progress will be on this Challenge, that will run for quite some time, since the new format is 7 days work, then 7 days rest (and recovery) and then again 7 days work. This could continue for 3 months ( I read somewhere on the Challenge forum, so totally an Urban Myth)

As one of the forum rules state, log’s are allowed, but no name squeeze pages, adsense or advertising, so I have started this new blog, rather than adding content to my normal blog. (in the blogroll).

With still 5 hours to go before kick off, I will continue to work on some wordpress plugins that I am writing.

To later
